Google: LGBTQ+ Allyship Films

Google has 190,000 employees globally. The tech giant wanted to speak to their people about queer allyship. And so, over the past couple of years I have written and directed 3 films for Google - for Trans Awareness Week and International Coming Out Day. I shot the first two Google offices with a mix of LGBTQ+ Googlers and Google's top brass. On the most recent film, I had an amazing team of creatives pulling together archive for an emotional film voiced by LGBTQ+ Googlers. We sprinted some magic dust on it with cool motion graphics, careful sound design, a bespoke composition, and beautiful animated overlays. The VP Global Partner at Google, Pedro Pina, told us "It's a masterpiece" - I was pretty happy with that! The big thing, though, is that these important and personal films were played at Google All Hands meetings and hit the inboxes of nearly 200k Googlers around the world - that's so meaningful for LGBTQ+ Googlers, out or not.
