De Beers: Social Film Series & Editorial Campaign
This is an undeniably turbulent period in modern history: there are more vital matters at hand than flogging diamonds. But as the diamond industry has come under severe scrutiny in recent years, De Beers wanted to show the positive impact diamonds can have - an impact that the company has made a priority for some time now.
This campaign surfaced organically through the desire of 5 designers to collaborate on a unique collection that would benefit a number of important charities. The 5 women took a trip together to the diamond mines in Botswana and each designed a diamond pendant inspired by the people, the culture, and the landscape they experienced there. These films capture their story and showcase the pendants as worn by model and activist Indira Scott.
